A few months ago I needed assistance in converting a Portland basement room in an 80-year old house into a home theater. After considerable research and interviewing competitors, I chose Dat Nguyen of DC Connections to do the work. Most people who know me would say that I am a very picky consumer and not easy to please. I also happen to have an independent interest in home theater electronics and am a bit more informed than most consumers about products and installation methods. I have been very pleased with Dat’s services and the design suggestions he made. We were very impressed with the service and expertise at DC Connections. Dat made an initial visit to our home to assess situation. Our home was pre-wired with speakers and volume controls, but was unsure if it was functional. Dat found several wires that were not hooked-up properly. He made logical suggestions on which were absolutely neccessary and encouraged to keep some out older components. We also needed a nice cabinet for everything. Dat found one that matched perfectly with the rest of our furniture and it was reasonably priced. When all was complete, our home theater and stereo system sounded fantastic! All furniture was moved very carefully and all cords were neatly organized. We would highly recommend DC Connections as the prices were very fair and the service was exceptional.

Installation of surround sound system in bonus room. Five speakers, an A/V receiver and subwoofer. He also installed 2 flat screen panels for bonus and living room. Dat wired everything to be user friendly. Dat installed the tv in living room along with TiVo, a DVD player and Diret TV. He also wire an IR reater system-very user friendly. The bonus room consisted a plasma TV, blu-ray, A/V receiver and Direct TV-sounds phenomenal! Dat steered us to great speakers at a modest price. Other companies were trying to sell us over the top equipment with prices that were way out of our budget. DC Connections’ proposal was very reasonable.

Work was performed as expected, punctual and totally professional. I could have not expected more. Dat was GREAT! Extremely detailed oriented. I highly recommend to anyone and everyone. A++
